DESCRIPTION This item is a brand new reproduction replacement return spring for an Arai Drum brake which is commonly used as a drag brake on tandems. The return spring on the Arai drum brake on our Mercian tandem broke and the brake started dragging all the time. Replacement brake return springs are very hard to find. If you have an Arai drum brake with a broken spring, then here's the spring to get it working again. If you have an operational Arai brake then you might want to get one as a back up so you can keep your tandem on the road in the event a return spring fails like it did on my Mercian Tandem. The Arai drum brake is also used on a Santana, Bob Jackson, Jack Taylor and other tandems of the same vintage. Please email me with any questions. Thanks you for your interest.
