Hayes Mag G1 Hydraulic Disc Brakes: Purple Logo 22mm Mount, Klein Trek Gary Fisher Schwinn This is a rare set of the 1st hydraulic mountain bike brakes Hayes ever made! They were first released in 1997 and this set came on a 1998 model Schwinn Homegrown Sweet Spot. The rear mount is a 22mm "Hayes Direct Mount", which was found on some Klein, Trek (Trek 8000, Trek 8900), Gary Fisher, Schwinn and other bikes from about 1998 to 2001. The brake mounts to braze on's on the chainstay. This mount is not made anymore, so if you have a bike with this style mount you don't have many other options! Condition: These brakes have been sitting for 25 years, so it’s no surprise that they both could use a bleed. They both work equally well as-is and are ridable, however it’s clear that a small amount of air needs to be removed from both lines for optimal performance. Cosmetically the levers and calipers are in excellent condition. Logos and paint look fantastic. No cuts or kinks in the hoses. These brakes were taken off a show bike that was only ridden a few times, so the pads have hardly any wear at all. Includes the original set of first generation 160mm rotors both in excellent condition, as well as all the original mounting hardware. Rear brake mount: 22mm Hayes Direct Mount Front brake mount: Standard post mount, with adapter for IS mount Front hose length: ~800mm Rear hose length: ~1450mm ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING OR BUYING ITEM***ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS***ALL SALES ARE FINAL*** NO WARRANTIES IMPLIED OR EXPRESSED***GOOD LUCK***THANKS FOR LOOKING, BIDDING, OR BUYING***
